CMREC organized a national level Science Expo 2K15 on 19/12/2015 in its college grounds with a goal to increase the involvement of students and teachers in science and technology and to recognize the accomplishments of students; our future science and technology leaders. Students prepared more than 200 working models based on basic sciences . Then these models exhibited in this Expo where around four thousand students from various other colleges visited the Expo. The Science Expo was a one day program and best student participants were also recognized and awarded. The Expo was inaugurated by famous educationist Chukka. Ramaiah garu by lightening of the lamp. He highly appreciated this Expo on basic sciences and said “This Expo will enable the students to move to a higher level of excellence and to improve the experience of each participant. Your commitment to the Science Expo 2015 could profoundly impact the lives of future engineers.” The principal of the college Dr. A.S.Reddy said “ The purpose of this Expo is to stimulate an active interest in science and engineering, to provide an educational experience and to give public recognition to talented students.”  Speaking on the Expo, Mr.CH. Srisailam Reddy, secretary and Correspondent, CMREC said "Our effort through this Science Expo is to create interest in science amongst the students. It was heartening to note that these students were passionate about their work and were very enthusiastic in explaining their model." "We are also happy to note that through this process, the knowledge level of students on basic science has increased to a great extent" added Mr. CH. Bhoopal Reddy, Vice chairman, CMREC. The convener of this Expo Dr. K.V.Reddy, H&S HOD, CMREC said “Our society relies more on science every day, and science fairs are a great way for students to become more knowledgeable about how the world around them works. Every citizen needs sufficient science literacy to make educated decisions about what he or she reads in the media, about health care, and about other every-day problems.”
